About Me
I'm one of those people who has always known I wanted to be a writer. I grew up acting out stories with my twin, our dolls, and our stuffed animals.
Throughout high school, I attended the UVA Young Writers Workshop and learned how to write scripts. In December 2015, I succeeded in my goal of publishing a book—Tales of a Navy Brat—before I graduated high school.
In May 2020, I graduated from Emerson College with a BFA in Creative Writing. My focus then was poetry, but in December 2022, I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with an MA in Writing focused on fiction.
My passion for scripts, poetry, and fiction has led me to a variety of different jobs. I have been an associate editor and copyeditor for Parallel Ink, THREAD, Generic, and Emerson's Undergraduate Students for Publishing. In 2020, I was a development intern for ACE Entertainment's TV division, and in 2023, I interned with the Triada US Literary Agency.
Most recently, I have worked as a salesperson for Newbury Comics and Harvard Book Store, which have both provided me with the ability to recommend my favorite stories to people.
My favorite genres include fantasy, magical realism, supernatural, apocalyptic / dystopian, historical, SEL, and humor. I can most often be found reading picture books, YA and adult fiction, poetry, manga, and graphic novels.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy my work!
